13 April 2015 - 23 April 2015, 11 days & 10 nights

Conducted by Connecticut Audubon Society, in conjunction with Bird Treks

The Best of Colorado! This tour is designed to allow time for birding the Great Plains, the Rocky Mountains, and the Colorado Plateau. It emphasizes the western birds you seldom or never see on the East Coast and the marvelous breeding leks of Colorado's grasslands. We plan the tour to provide the best opportunity for each of the many target bird species, including Greater Sage-Grouse, Gunnison Sage-Grouse, Lesser Prairie-Chicken, Greater Prairie-Chicken, Dusky Grouse, White-tailed Ptarmigan, American Three-toed Woodpecker, all three rosy-finch species, and many more. Each day will be a total natural history experience! Participation is limited to two 4×4 vehicles. The leaders are Phil Rusch and James Restivo. Regular price is $5485.00, with a $600.00 discount for Connecticut Audubon Society (CAS) members. A Nebraska Sandhill Crane pre-tour is available. Both the Colorado and the Nebraska tours are being conducted by CAS, in conjunction with Bird Treks.

Price: $5485.00 from Denver, Colorado
